What is an integrated adjustable mattress?

A mattress-format product with a powered articulation structure inside—designed to deliver adjustable movement without presenting as a separate exposed base.

Direct answer

An integrated adjustable mattress combines the visible form of a finished mattress with an internal powered structure that raises or lowers defined sections. DEPY uses the DM100 model family for this product format.

The main difference is not simply how the product moves. It is how the movement system is presented to the buyer and end user.

How the format works

A conventional adjustable sleep setup commonly consists of two visibly separate layers: an adjustable base below and a compatible mattress above. An integrated adjustable mattress brings the articulation structure inside the mattress-format product. From the room, retail display or product image, the system reads as one complete mattress.

This does not mean every internal specification is identical to a standalone adjustable base. Mattress construction, dimensions, drive architecture, comfort materials and packing must be confirmed specifically for the integrated product. Adjustable-base specifications should never be copied automatically into a DM100 quotation.

The three DM100 configurations

ModelMovementWhat the sleepers experienceTypical product discussion
DM100-2Standard motionThe upper surface moves together as one full-width section.Simpler unified articulation and a clear standard configuration.
DM100-3Independent head splitEach sleeper can control their own head section while the lower surface remains shared.Couples who want separate upper-body positioning without a fully separated lower mattress.
DM100-4Full splitLeft and right sides form two complete movement zones.Maximum independent positioning within one coordinated bed presentation.

The -2, -3 and -4 suffixes are DEPY ordering codes. Buyers should include the complete code in an inquiry so movement requirements are not lost during quotation.

Why buyers consider an integrated mattress

One-product visual presentation

The integrated format can be useful when a brand, retailer or project wants the room to read as a complete mattress product rather than a visible mechanism-plus-mattress combination.

Clear configuration storytelling

DM100-2, DM100-3 and DM100-4 let the commercial team explain movement through three defined choices: unified, independent head or fully independent left and right.

Channel differentiation

An integrated product can occupy a different position from a conventional adjustable base in a showroom or catalogue. The right choice depends on how the buyer intends to display, explain, install and service the product.

What should not be assumed

  • Do not assume dimensions, weight or packing from the SG100, SP100 or SH100 base tables.
  • Do not assume every mattress material or comfort layer is fixed before project confirmation.
  • Do not describe the product as a medical device or promise treatment outcomes.
  • Do not select a split format without confirming whether the customer needs independent head movement or complete left-right independence.

Information needed for a useful quotation

  1. Target country and sales channel
  2. Required DM100 movement configuration
  3. Mattress dimensions in centimetres or inches
  4. Expected order quantity
  5. Comfort, upholstery, branding and control requirements
  6. Target delivery timing and destination terms

DM100 specifications are confirmed by project. Images demonstrate product format and movement configuration; final construction and commercial details belong in the quotation.
